A Support, My Pillar

John Samuel

Oh mother! yes I have found.
A support, my pillar.
I am not alone.
I have found a support, my pillar.

Oh mother, I want to show you my support.
My heart wants to show you my joy.
Yet, I am calm.
I am unable to show you my happiness.
I have found a support, my pillar.

Oh mother! my ignorant brain says,
You will not understand
And that you will mock me.
But oh my mother, you know me.
You know me, ever since my childhood.
I have found a support, my pillar.

Oh mother! they have closed the doors,
They have erected high walls.
I am unable to see you.
And you are unable to see me
And my head thrust on the support, my pillar.
I have found a support, my pillar.

Oh mother! they tell me to hide.
Myself and my pillar.
They tell me to raise huge curtains.
And hide my joy from you.
I am unable to tell you.
Of my joy with the support, my pillar.
I have found a support, my pillar.
